Butchart Gardens
The Butchart Gardens, carved from an exhausted limestone quarry in 1904, is one of Canada's most visited attractions. 55 acres of immaculate gardens — Sunken Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden — each stunning in its own right. In summer the gardens are illuminated after dark.
Whale Watching
Victoria sits in prime orca territory. Between May and October, whale watching tours offer outstanding opportunities to see resident orca pods, humpback whales, and harbour seals. Tours depart from the Inner Harbour and run 3-4 hours.
